Tennis instruction in the US runs from a certified teaching pro giving private lessons on a park court to full academies with fitness staff, boarding and tournament travel. Private lessons are priced per hour, semi-private and group clinics cost less per player, and most clubs run junior programs after school and adult drills in the evening. The USTA organizes the national rating (NTRP) and the adult and junior leagues most players join; the USPTA and PTR certify coaches. Summer camps take kids by the week or the day and usually include lunch and match play. Stadiums and event venues host college matches, USTA sanctioned tournaments and the occasional exhibition, with free or low-cost admission for most of them.

I am writing this review to share a very serious safety concern from my three-year-old sonβs first beginner swim lesson at this location. During class, four children with no swimming experience were instructed to hold onto the side of the pool while the instructor worked with them one at a time. The lifeguard was positioned far away from the group, and another staff member wearing a lifeguard shirt, who had checked us in before class, left when the lesson began. About 15β20 minutes into the lesson, my son let go of the wall and went completely underwater. Neither the instructor nor the lifeguard noticed. My boyfriend, while holding our one-year-old daughter, had to jump in and pull our son out himself. Our son was coughing and struggling to catch his breath, yet there was little sense of urgency from staff. No one apologized, explained what happened, or checked on us before we left. What is equally disappointing is that despite reporting the incident, no one from the YMCA ever followed up with us. After nearly a week without any communication, I canceled our membership. I trusted this program to provide a safe environment for my sonβs first swimming experience. Instead, I watch

Iβve only used this space for private parties, and overall itβs decent. The community room is a good size and includes a convenient food prep area. However, it was a bit too warm during our event, and the AC could have been set lower. The bathrooms were clean, which was nice. One improvement would be a designated outdoor seating area for smokers. Overall, I would consider this location if I need to rent a party space again.

I like going to special events here. I enjoy the pool area. It is hard to get in the pool at times because of certain classes. I think there needs to be more activities geared for children like the other YMCA's. Other than the before and after school programs. These activities should take place while parents attend other activities or exercises classes. Most staff are great at making you feel welcome. There are others I like to avoid.
